God
He is a divine being who is the creator, sustainer, and redeemer of all things and who is worthy of all glory, praise, honor, worship, and obedience.
He is one God in three persons who are co-eternal and co-equal in that they share the same nature and attributes.
Gen 1:1, Deut 6:4-5; 1 Cor 8:6
Scripture
The Bible is God’s revelation of His being and acts which are truthful, reliable, inspired by God through humans, and authoritative in our lives.
Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1; John 17:17; 2 Tim 3:16
Humanity
Man and woman were made in God’s image to rule, cultivate, and care for His creation.
Sin entered the world through the disobedience of Adam and Eve who forfeited God’s blessing and were cut off from God’s presence.
In this cursed state outside of the Garden, humanity is lost, alienated from God, and incapable of attaining salvation on their own
Gen 3; Psalm 53:3; Eph 2:1-3; Rom 8:7-8; Rom 3:23; Rom 6:23
Jesus
Jesus is the God-Man who, being born of the virgin Mary, is human, and being conceived of the Holy Spirit, is also God.
He lived a sinless life and became our substitute on the cross, atoning for the sins of the world.
He died on the cross, was buried, and rose again three days later. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father.

Salvation
The only way to be saved from our sin is to repent and believe in the work of Jesus by calling on His name for salvation.
This salvation is by grace, through faith, and makes one justified, forgiven, cleansed, and righteous, leading him/her to walk by faith and produce spiritual fruit.
Eph 2:8-10; Rom 10:9-10,13; Isaiah 61:10; 2 Cor 5:17-21; Gal 5:22-24
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is fully God and is the third member of the Trinity.
As the comforter and helper, He indwells all believers as a seal of salvation and is the source and power for all worship and obedience to God.
Gen 1:1-2; Acts 5:4,9; 2 Cor 13:14; Acts 2:1-4; Eph 1:13
Last Things
In His omniscient timing, God promises that Jesus will return one day to bring final justice and usher in the New Heavens and New Earth. There believers will dwell with God forever in a new heavenly body, and non-believers will be separated from him forever in hell.
Isaiah 2:4; 11:9; Acts 1:11; Philippians 3:20-21; Rev 20-21
Church
The local church is the smaller expression of The Church which is a spiritual family.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Head of all the church, commanded His people to hold to the practice of water baptism and the regular taking of Communion. We do not believe that either of these practices is essential for salvation, but that they serve as a demonstration of our living faith in Him. *(taken from Door of Hope)
Matthew 16:17-19; 28:16-21; Col 1:18; Luke 22:19-20
Marriage and Family
In God’s infinite wisdom, He created humanity as two sexes with binary genders: male and female. He created marriage to be the life-long covenantal union of one man and one woman for the purpose of procreation and sexual fulfillment. Living in a broken world with distorted desires, with a culture that seeks to celebrate the opposite, makes this difficult to accept. Yet we must submit to and trust that God knows best while acknowledging that Jesus lived the most fulfilled life of any human and was never married. Eden Church is a place to work through these struggles without shame, as we fight to find and follow God together.
