John Nemmers
John was born and raised on the north side of Des Moines and graduated from Saydel High School in 2012. After spending 18 years searching for purpose in the world, he encountered Jesus shortly after high school and committed his life to following Him. At 19, he met his wife, Kaley, and together they have been blessed with five wonderful children. They live in Oak Park, where their deepest prayer is to remain rooted in the north side, faithfully serving and seeing God’s Kingdom come in Des Moines as it is in heaven.

Abe Miller
Abe trusted Jesus as his Savior at a young age and has been living in Des Moines for 28 years. For 23 of those years, he served on staff at a local church, dedicating his life to ministry and community. He and his wife, Jessie, have five children, all of whom have attended Saydel Schools. Three of their children are now married and have chosen to stay in the Des Moines Metro area.
Abe and Jessie have a deep love for the north side of Des Moines and are committed to serving their community with kindness and faith. Whether through ministry, relationships, or everyday life, they desire to reflect Christ’s love to those around them.
